Radboud University Nijmegen is a public university with a strong focus on research located in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. It was established on 17 October 1923 and is situated in the oldest city of the Netherlands.
Radboud University is a broad, international oriented university that aspires to be one of the best in Europe. Together with Radboudumc, we have created an intellectual environment that inspires and challenges our students and staff so that they can extend the scope of academic disciplines and benefit society. Radboud University challenges its students to actively participate in the academic community and trains them to be critical and committed academics, with their own views regarding scholarship and society, who will take up responsible positions in a society which is becoming increasingly internationalised.
Our research concerns machine learning and artificial intelligence in general, with applications to (among others) neuroscience and bioinformatics. We are involved in various projects with other groups, both within and outside the Radboud University. Research funding mainly comes from NWO, STW, and the EU.
We have close ties to the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition, and Behavior, both through research and education, and SNN Adaptive Intelligence.
