Marit Schoonhoven is an associate professor at the University of Amsterdam’s Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB, Section Operations Management). Her research focuses on Industrial Statistics and Statistical Process Control. She is also a Senior Consultant at the Institute for Business and Industrial Statistics (IBIS UvA), where she has worked since 2007.
At IBIS Uva Marit is responsible for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt training, during which she guides participants in the improvement project they execute during the training period. She works and has worked for Zwitserleven, AEGON, Deventer Ziekenhuis, Reinier de Graaf Groep, the Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht and Rivas Zorggroep.
In 2004 Marit Schoonhoven graduated as MSc in Business Mathematics and Informatics at the VU University Amsterdam. Then she worked at the Corporate Credit Risk Management department of ING and developed several statistical credit risk models. Marit obtained her PhD in Industrial Statistics on ‘Estimation Methods for Statistical Process Control’ in 2011. More information can be found here (in Dutch).
